About
I'm Dharampal — a software architect and consultant with over 20 years of experience designing, building, and scaling business-critical systems across fintech, agritech, healthcare, AI platforms, cloud telephony, and enterprise SaaS.
I work hands-on with clients to solve complex problems end-to-end. Whether it's architecting distributed systems, modernizing legacy platforms, building AI-powered workflows, or coaching teams on effective engineering practices — I focus on what actually moves the needle.
What I Do
My work spans the full delivery lifecycle: product discovery, system architecture, hands-on implementation, cloud/platform engineering, and production delivery. I've built core banking platforms processing 18,000 requests per minute, designed AI interview intelligence systems using GPT-3 and BERT, and led cloud-native migrations for major enterprises.
Recently, I've been deep in AI adoption — coaching engineering teams on using LLMs effectively, designing AI agents for SAP automation, and building extraction pipelines that turn scientific papers into structured research data.
Technologies
I work across the stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Go, Ruby/Rails, Kotlin/Android, Spring Boot. Cloud-native with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker. Data platforms with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Snowflake. And increasingly, AI/ML workflows with LLMs, Databricks, and custom model training.
Training & Coaching
When there's something worth teaching, I design and deliver targeted bootcamps — from Golang and OO design for teams like Zepto and Rapido, to AI adoption for SAP teams at a global automotive enterprise. I build practical customized curriculum to match team requirements for clean code, technology stacks, and AI adoption.
About This Blog
This is Scatterbrain — a semi-organized collection of thoughts, technical notes, and things I've figured out the hard way. It ranges from quick fixes I needed to document (like that Ruby segfault on OSX Lion) to deeper explorations in programming and system design. Most posts are from my earlier years; these days I'm more often solving problems for clients than writing about them. But when something's worth sharing, it ends up here.
